RJD Poster Lalu Missing: A poster outside the RJD office in Patna has become the center of political debate. The poster features only the image of Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav. Party president Lalu Prasad Yadav and other RJD leaders are conspicuously missing. This has prompted sharp criticism from the NDA.
Ahead of the Bihar elections, political parties are competing to convey their messages through posters. In this context, the RJD poster has sparked widespread discussion. The poster prominently displays Tejashwi Yadav’s picture along with the tagline, “We will fulfill our promises.” It also highlights three major schemes recently announced by Tejashwi:
- Maa-Bahin Samman Yojana: ₹2,500 per month for women.
- Old-age Pension and Social Security Pension Schemes: Pension amounts increased from ₹400 to ₹1,500.
- Free Electricity: 200 units of free electricity per month.
NDA’s Criticism
JDU spokesperson Anjum Ara remarked, “Earlier, Lalu Yadav turned RJD into a family-centric party. Now, by featuring only Tejashwi’s photo, it seems he is taking it a step further to make it a one-man party.”
BJP spokesperson Kuntal Krishna took a jab at Tejashwi, stating, “Tejashwi is retiring Lalu-Rabri, willingly or unwillingly. Lalu Yadav is witnessing his party’s decline due to an incompetent next generation. Tejashwi’s leadership reflects a lack of capability in the future of RJD.”
The Message in the Poster
The poster outside the RJD office makes it evident that the party plans to contest the upcoming Bihar elections solely on Tejashwi Yadav’s leadership. However, the absence of Lalu Prasad Yadav and other senior leaders has sparked criticism and debate in political circles.
