Nitin Gadkari on BJP: Gadkari Emphasis on Discipline and Concerns Over Entry of Tainted Leaders in BJP

Nitin Gadkari on BJP: Central minister and BjP stalwart Nitin Gadkari emphasis on discipline and concerns over entry of tainted leaders in BJP.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari emphasized the need to maintain discipline and integrity within the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), expressing concerns about the possible entry of “tainted leaders” as the party continues to expand. Gadkari noted that the rapid growth of the party brings certain challenges that need to be addressed carefully to uphold BJP’s values and standards.

In his address, Gadkari drew an analogy to farming, explaining that just as crops attract pests and diseases as they grow, similarly, unwanted elements may enter the party as it gains prominence. “The BJP has grown significantly. Along with the good crop, there are also some ‘diseases’ that have crept in, which require ‘pesticide’ to be eradicated,” he remarked.

Importance of Familiarizing New Members with BJP Ideology

On the topic of new members joining the party, Gadkari emphasized the need to prioritize training programs to align them with BJP’s ideology and culture. He stated, “The BJP is a party of dedicated workers, and it is our responsibility to impart the party’s ideology to new entrants, guiding them to become true representatives of our values.” Gadkari highlighted that while thousands of party workers strive towards BJP’s goals, one person’s misstep can tarnish the collective effort of many.

Focus on Secularism in Governance

Gadkari also stressed the importance of secularism in governance, a principle enshrined in the Indian Constitution. He asserted, “While an individual cannot be secular in absolute terms, the state, government, and administration must operate with secular principles.”

BJP’s Election Preparations in Maharashtra

In the context of the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra, BJP, in alliance with Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction) and Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), is gearing up for the electoral contest. Gadkari expressed his confidence in the state’s BJP leadership and assured that although he does not hold an official position in Maharashtra, he remains available for support whenever required.

Gadkari stated, “I don’t have any formal role in Maharashtra currently. The leaders here are capable and do not require my assistance at the moment. However, I will be available whenever they need me.”

Through these statements, Nitin Gadkari outlined BJP’s commitment to discipline and integrity, underscoring the importance of maintaining organizational values amid the party’s growth and its preparation for a strong showing in Maharashtra’s upcoming elections.
